The coaching staff and comittee are volunteers who help to run the club.  They do so for no other reason than a love of the sport of Judo.  If you are interested in helping the club then please get in touch.  

Senior Club Coach, Mick Avis started judo in 1965 with the B.J.A and gained his 1st Dan in 1969.  In 1970 he started the Ivanhoe Judo Club.  The Club left the B.J.A.in 1989 and joined the Tokushima Budo Council.  Mick went on to gain his 2nd Dan in 1991.  The Club joined the in 1998 A.J.A. and gained his a 4th Dan.
